so currently i don't have a real upload pattern. i think that having one would make my life better and i was considering posting every saturday because every other day stresses me out. also, i was considering making myself an art thread because i heard it was a good way to get your art out there, and i have some art that probably wouldn't be accepted as a piece in the art portal but could be shared through an art thread. feel free to share your thoughts i guess

Not a bad idea... an upload pattern, that is. Usually, I would tell an artist to simply post work when they feel comfortable with doing so, but following a simple yet strict regime is an excellent way to keep yourself from slacking off. I've seen a few with art and music threads but I don't regularly visit the BBS to know for certain how effective an art thread might be. Still, it IS another place to get your name out there, I suppose. I typically recommend posting one's art on as many sites as reasonably possible (like casting a wide net to catch more fish). Even if you were to only get a single viewer here and a few viewers there, it will still add up. As for the art portal, there is an option when uploading your work that reads as "Finished Piece?" and you can simply un-check that box to indicate that what you're adding to your profile is considered a WIP, a sketch, or a simple doodle. This allows artists to just post whatever they want (within guidelines!) without the risk of being un-scouted or called out for trying to clutter the portal with spam. I've done it a bunch of times because I'm not an artist and I almost never draw something unless I have some dumb idea that I either couldn't find online at the time or just felt compelled to make myself. You could also post art in one of these news segments, instead, alongside whatever you might feel like sharing with others. Ya got options, Toggle. Try'em all out!
